Wildlife surveys
The main objective is to gather and analyse data related to wildlife behaviour, demographics, distribution, habitat use, and population size across various ecosystems. We employ methods such as direct observation, camera trapping and aerial surveys (including thermal aerial surveys) to collect precise data. The survey also aims to understand the intricate relationship between mammals and their environment, including factors like availability of food resources, and the impact of human activity.
Data Services
We offer enhanced data management and reporting support to all advanced users. We are able to extract and import your data from other systems and spreadsheets. Should you want specific exports from WildTrackPro, bespoke statistics or statistical suites, we can handle that - and for those with very large data sets we can supply data science and modelling services. Your data is available to link via API's into essentially any other system - please contact your account manager or the support team for details.
Plant and vegetation surveys
The Comprehensive Plant and Vegetation Diversity survey is a meticulously aimed at investigating the plant species and vegetation communities within a designated study area. This investigation encompasses both flora biodiversity and the structural characteristics of vegetation, offering valuable insights into the health and dynamics of the ecosystem.
Locate a wildlife manager (or team)
If you own or manage an estate or piece of ground that necessitates expert wildlife management, particularly focusing on deer, we have the ideal resources available. Understanding and managing deer populations requires a deep comprehension of their unique behaviours, breeding patterns, feeding habits, and population trends. We can facilitate access to professional wildlife managers and/or a highly competent team of vetted deerstalkers to manage your property.
Training
If you already have a team of stalkers, we can offer training on: WildTrackPro best practice (including reports and statistics), sensitive site management, rifle handling and marksmanship, carcass prep/butchery, DSC Level 1, DSC Level 2, Advanced Stalking Certificate and First aid + Forestry to accredited standards.
Sensitive site management
With over 50-person years of managing deer populations on sensitive ground for large organisations, we can advise you on the best approachs to adopt, provide training for local teams, produce a management structure and plan or in some cases manage your ground direct. We also offer talks designed to inform the public about deer, squirrels and other wildlife and the reasons and mechanisms for their management.
